Amas Veritas…Do you know what it is?

In the movie “Practical Magic” Sandra Bullocks character, Sally Owens creates a “manifestation” to summon a man that couldn’t possibly exist after she loses her husband…So she creates what she believes to be an impossible list to conjure up her one true love…Someone with endearing characteristics that would be extremely fictional and above and beyond any reality that she could see or imagine…She wanted to  believe he didn’t exist so “she would never die of a broken heart”…so she created a list of what she believed were impossibilities…

We all want to protect ourselves from a broken heart…and there are many ways we can do that…but does it really benefit us if we close that part of ourselves off? Are we really protecting our heart, or are we burying it so deep that no one can see it or dig it up just so they can break it or destroy it?

This takes a lot of self-reflection…A LOT…

For so long I believed I was protecting my heart, that I could not fall in love, that I would not fall in love, and that I was too picky and particular about who I let into my soul, because I just didn’t want to be disappointed again…so I did a lot of self-reflection and figured out my inner most fears and desires when it came to love, being loved, or being in love…

So, I created my own Amas Veritas, for my “true love”

“May he be strong in body, mind and spirit…May he desire me body, mind and spirit…May he be filled with joy and laughter…May music touch his heart and fill his soul…May he dance with me in the kitchen…in the shower…in the bedroom…on the beach…May his laughter fill my soul…May our passion be matched and our sex life filled with desire, lust, and contentment…may we be each other's safe place…may we find peace within ourselves and each other for the rest of the days of our lives together…

Whether you are looking for true love or learning how to love yourself, be intentional with what you want, how you want to be treated and how you want to treat others…

Don’t create your “manifestation” from what limitations you have created for yourself, or limitations others have put on you…Create your “manifestation” from the deepest part of your desires and the deepest part of your soul…

Can I promise you your Amas Veritas will come to be or not? No, I cannot…but why not create your own wish list of how you want to be loved, how you want to be treated, how you want to live…and perhaps, just perhaps even your deepest desires will come true…

No matter who you are, love does not discriminate...you are capable...you are worthy...you are powerful and you have the ability to create your own magic...

My wish for you is that the Universe fills every emotional, spiritual and physical desire you have…
